Energize and Engage

Leadership Pulse

Alfredo Behrens

Culture shapes who you might want to be led by.

When so called Global Leaders are sought it may be sobering to admit that people are likely to prefer to be led by their own.

Latins in general are inclined to root for the Road Runner and do not want to be led by Coyotes, who predominate among the Anglophones. Yet Anglophones lead many multinationals and choose their own to lead subsidiaries where Road Runners may predominate.

No wonder multinationals complain of lack of engagement and low productivity among their staff at subsidiaries!
