I have been involved with HR in small companies for the past 16 years and shifted my focus to entirely HR in 2006. I earned my PHR certification in January of '06 and am continually searching for ways to make us one of the best companies to work for. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in leadership with a Human Resource Management emphasis and will be done around June 2010. Our employees are our greatest asset so my thirst for knowledge in building loyalty and happy employees is my driving force.

Your last sentence is my big project right now. I have been doing a lot of research on employee engagement, we've formed a committe, and plan to go from there. We will have many "sub-intiatives" to get to "full engagement," and also have to choose an instrument to measure where we are/progress.
Althought I've looked at many vendors (and there are tons of great white papers out there), I have been particularly impressed with Gallup, Great Place to Work Institute, and HR Solutions. (and eePulse)
Are you approaching this as a "project," or an on-going "core" activity?
Good morning Theresa-
Thank you for the note. I was hoping someone could call me and discuss this project in more depth so I have a better understanding of what me and my teammates can expect. I would feel more confident inviting them to participate if I new a bit more. Thank you! This looks very exciting and I look forward to hearing more about the project and the tools available for our use.
Hi Julie and welcome to the leaders forum. You might be interested in the leadership team pulse for your team (it's free - part of this project). See attached for more information. And please do contribute to the discussions in the forum. I look forward to your contributions.
